The Food Bank has been at the heart of Re:dish from the start. Between January 1st 2016 and August 31st 2017 we have provided emergency food parcels for 7706 adults and 4402 children.
The Food Bank supports people who are at crisis point, providing emergency food parcels that contain enough food for 3 days irrespective of the size of your household. We are able to tailor the food parcel to cater for the size and makeup of the household and for any special dietary requirements or allergies, for example, gluten free, halal or vegetarian.
We also provide toiletries, nappies and baby wipes. More recently we have been piloting a scheme providing Fuel Vouchers in addition to emergency food.
We offer everyone who comes to our Food Bank a friendly welcome, something to eat and drink as well as signposting to other relevant agencies.
Wish to Provide a Referral Service (for those needing food vouchers)
We welcome referrals from a wide range of agencies and organisations including schools, GP surgeries, Job Centre+, Citizens Advice, housing support officers, children’s centres, health visitors and social services. If your organisation would like to be able to refer to the Re:dish Food Bank, please click here.
